The North Ranch Mountain Bikers is the biggest and oldest mountain bike riding group in the Los Angeles area. We have two or three rides every weekend and ride on many different trails throughout the year. The Santa Monica Mountains, which span Ventura and Los Angeles Counties, provide the location for the majority of our rides. But ever eager to seek out new trails, more technical single-tracks as well as explore, we often have trips to spectacular locations such as the Santa Barbara area, Big Bear, Mammoth, Lake Tahoe, Kernville, Moab, Sedona and more every year. The rides are recreational and cross-country in nature and not for racing.

We encourage safe, responsible and courteous trail riding. Helmets are mandatory on our group rides and we expect riders to also bring their own water, snack, gloves, sunblock and common-sense tools to fix minor mechanical problems on the trail. We expect our riders to adhere to the rules of the trail for the safety and enjoyment of all trail users.

We support CORBA, the Concerned Off Road Bicycling Association and IMBA, the International Mountain Bicycling Association as well as the MBU, the Mountain Bike Unit, which are a group of volunteer riders who patrol the trails of the Santa Monica Mountains. Many of our members also belong to these groups.
