This is pretty typical of what the trail looks like in one of the less treed sections.
IMG_4778.jpg
It's a little rocky, but not too bad.

I rode on Binty's High Trail that runs parallel to the Flank Trail
IMG_4786.jpg
Ho-hum. Yet another view of the valley. Actually, most to the time there were trees on both sides so you couldn't see into the valley.

Now were're starting to descend

A little luge section
IMG_4796.jpg
The trail was a tad overgrown here, but not nearly as bad as we have locally after our winter rains.

My friend Cathie had warned me about the section of switchbacks. 27, really?
IMG_4804.jpg
Most of the switchback section was too steep and rocky for me to ride.

IMG_4806Pan.jpg
I guess this counts as three switchbacks?
IMG_4811.jpg
Finally out of the switchbacks!

IMG_4815.jpg
That's Rainbow Falls in the center, very hard to see through the trees
IMG_4818.jpg
Another view of the falls

From here you can see Wedge Mountain in the distance

The way across Rainbow Creek

This is Whip Me Snip Me, a trail that connects the Flank Trail to the road. It was really fun, but I don't think we'll ride this in July. Instead we'll continue south on the Flank Trail.
