Crossing the last segment of the dry Ventura River, Norma starts off
It's really not so hard!
Joe's going back to do it again
Dave and Ruth come through. Meanwhile, a line builds up (top right)
Wendi's taking this very seriously
David didn't have any difficulties
Kris was the last to ride while Gigi hoofs it
The first hike-a-bike, a scene we would see a lot towards the end of the ride. This one, though, was very short.

Under the oak canopy of the Wills Canyon Trail
How did I manage to get them to ride in such a straight line for this photo?
On the El Nido (Meadow) Trail, headed up
Tom and Joe
Kris, Randy and Rick
Riding through one of the cattle gates on the Rice Canyon Trail
Behind Wendi, at the very top, is where we'll be later in the ride
I guess they have those gates for good reason! Based on the tire track to the right, it looks like he's been here for awhile.
Dave on the El Nido Trail, but this time we're headed down.
And this is David
The end of the El Nido Trail, just as it is about to link up with the Wills Canyon Trail
Rick's taking it easy today because his hand is hurt
Joe with Norma following up
On the very steep climb at the start of the Chaparral Crest Trail, Norma is challenging Graham's record as the only person to ride the whole way
Beyond the Preserve High Point, we came down the Oso Ridge Trail. The top 1/4 mile was very loose and trecherous, but the rest of it was really fun
Joe is cresting a small hill
He seems to be having fun
Joe continues on down
Next is Kris
Then Randy, Norma and Rick
Still on the Oso Ridge Trail, we're waiting for something, or maybe someone
The bottom of the Oso Ridge Trail, just before we turned onto the Chaparral Crest Trail
Climbing the Chaparral Crest Trail from the bottom, there was a lot of hike-a-bike because it was steep
At this point it wasn't that steep any more, but people were tired and it was getting quite warm. Next we headed down the Fern Grotto Trail, then back to the cars
