Off they go again in a field of dasies
PICT2806.jpg
Did we just come up that way?
PICT2808.jpg
There's still a bit of climbing to do, but Ann-Marie is ready for some skiing!
PICT2809.jpg
Jim had to head back early
PICT2815.jpg

PICT2817.jpg
Zig-zagging up the hill. The trail was pretty steep here.
PICT2818.jpg
A bit of a traverse, then the top...
PICT2821.jpg
...Well, maybe the top is over the NEXT hill!

PICT2824.jpg
Most of these flowers are white, but a few are faint blue
PICT2826.jpg
In case you're not sure where the top of the hill is, there's a flag to mark the spot
PICT2827.jpg
A break for a snack. We can't see the Channel Islands today.
PICT2828.jpg
Starting down from the top, they gave the photographer a head start so not all of the pictures would be of their butts!
PICT2831.jpg
A closer view of the antenna complex
PICT2834.jpg
This group looks a little confused
PICT2837.jpg
It was pretty steep coming down from the top. There were a few loose rocks, but the grip was pretty good because the ground was still damp. It will be really slippery when it gets dusty.

PICT2846.jpg
Back on the flat again, heading into La Jolla Valley.
PICT2847.jpg
In the valley, some clumps of grass were growing pretty tall
PICT2851.jpg
Somewhere in the distance, to the right, is the ridge with the Overlook Trail
PICT2855.jpg

PICT2857Adj.jpg
There are water snakes in there, somewhere
PICT2859.jpg
This mini-Godzilla was trying to impress me by doing push-ups. I guess it had seen too many movies with the governor in them.
PICT2864.jpg
Another section where the photographer had to stoop over to avoid getting whacked in the face by the branches
